Peter Fiasca
The founder of Classical Pilates Inc. and a prominent figure dedicated to the preservation of the method. Peter began practicing in 1988 and was certified by Romana Kryzanowska in 1998, with further studies under master teachers like Jay Grimes and Kathy Grant. He is the producer of the award-winning Classical Pilates Technique DVD series and the author of Discovering Pure Classical Pilates, traveling globally to teach seminars and workshops.
Jerome Weinberg
A dedicated advocate for the Authentic Classical Pilates Method, Jerome is recognized within the Contrology community for upholding the traditional exercises and philosophies of Joseph Pilates. His sessions are typically focused on maintaining the integrity of the original system and providing deep, foundational strength and understanding.
Simona Cipriani
The owner of The Art of Control® and Educational Director of The Art and Science of Contrology® Pilates Training Program. Simona is a highly respected Second-Generation Pilates Instructor who studied extensively with Romana Kryzanowska and became certified in the Authentic Pilates Method in 1993. She is also trained in the Feldenkrais Method, combining movement therapies with science to create a safe and effective path to movement mastery.
Heather Thomas
An influential Classical Pilates Teacher and founder of Flex Studios in Hong Kong and Singapore. Heather has dedicated over two decades to teaching Pilates, with a foundation rooted in classical ballet and yoga. She is a Lead Educator for REAL Pilates (a 3rd Generation Classical Pilates certification program in the lineage of Romana Kryzanowska) and hosts trainings and workshops across Asia. Her expertise spans comprehensive studio work, traditional Contrology, and pre/post-natal conditioning.
Chaz Knight
Chaz Knight is a passionate educator and mentor based in Los Angeles, California. His educational foundation is deeply rooted in the lineages of Ron Fletcher and Romana Kryzanowska. Chaz is well-regarded for teaching the “why” behind the work and is committed to preserving the integrity of the Pilates system. As a representative of a new generation of Pilates educators, he shares his expertise globally through platforms like Instagram and Pilatesology, in addition to writing articles for various Pilates publications. Chaz teaches and mentors in Los Angeles while also traveling worldwide to expand access to lineage work for teachers from diverse backgrounds.
Haeng Yul Kim
Haeng Yul Kim majored in Physical Education and studied Manual & Massage Therapy, which deepened his understanding of the human body and movement.
Trained in Classical Pilates under Nan Young Kim, a disciple of Jay Grimes’, he continues his journey to embody and share Jay Grimes’ philosophy.
As the founder of Urban Classic Pilates, he leads teacher training programs and helps people find balance in mind, body, and spirit.
For him, Pilates is life itself.
Su Jin Park
Su Jin Park is a Classical Pilates instructor and a founder of Urban Classic Pilates in South Korea, where she also runs a comprehensive teacher training program to educate and mentor new instructors.
She has been moving all of her life as she majored in dance from a young age through graduate school, andnhas always been exploring how the body expresses and heals through movement.
After a dance-related injury in 2010, she was introduced to Pilates as part of her recovery — and it completely changed her life.
She fell in love with the depth and intelligence of the method, and soon made the decision to shift her entire career into Pilates.
In her teaching, she values the original system that Joseph Pilates created.
Rather than seeking to change or modify it, she strives to find answers within the system — because when we truly move inside the structure Joseph built, the body naturally transforms.
And in that process of discovery, we find real joy in movement.
Yung-Li Chen
Yung-Li Chen is a highly accomplished Third Generation Pilates Instructor and the pioneering founder of Pilatx Classical Pilates, the first Classical Pilates studio in Taiwan. Her extensive background in dance profoundly informs her Pilates practice and teaching.
In 2023, she completed her third Contrology Pilates Instructor training program with Simona Cipriani, a renowned Second Generation Master Teacher, at The Art of Control in Connecticut, USA. This advanced certification complements her MFA in Choreography from the esteemed Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College/SUNY, and further certifications including the Equinox Pilates Comprehensive Bridge Program, Balanced Pilates 500 Hour Comprehensive Course, Exhale Spa (Barre), OM (Yoga), and Classical Pilates workshops with Eric Carlovich and Miguel Silva, etc.
An avid long-distance runner, Yung-Li has demonstrated her dedication and discipline through completing marathons in major international cities: New York City, Hawaii, Berlin, Chicago, London, and Tokyo. Yung-Li’s career as a professional Pilates instructor spans prominent New York City institutions, including Equinox, Goldman Sachs, Chelsea Piers Fitness, and NewYork Road Runners, as well as other top-tier fitness boutiques. She has cultivated a reputation for effectively working with a diverse clientele, ranging from Wall Street financiers, NYC families, and senior citizens to numerous high-profile individuals.
Now, through Pilatx Classical Pilates, she is establishing a strong foundation for Classical Pilates in Taiwan. Her performance credits showcase her artistic versatility, including roles in The Mile-Long Opera, the 2015 NY Fashion Week for Givenchy/Marina Abramovic, Kate Weare Dance Company, Jacobs Pillow, and Judson Dance Theater.
